Our Mission: |
Development:
Our desire is to improve life for communities that have been hard hit by war, specifically in areas where few other organizations have helped. An example of this is a literacy project, designed to teach people to TEACH, so that they can each teach 10 others. In this way not only will hundreds learn to read but the work will keep multiplying!
Orphanages:
Orphanages are the hub of our work. There were almost 100 children who have been given a home, clothes, food, education and spiritual training from 1998 - 2003. These children would have none of that without DOVE.
Vocational Education:
The children who we are able to help through our orphanages are growing up - are they going to end up on the street again? Our goal is to equip these people with the skills that they need to support themselves and continue rebuilding their communities!
